IAMAI has finalised an ‘implementation toolkit’ even as the government has initiated consultations at the highest levels involving officials from at least three ministries for specific legislative changes to regulate OTT platforms and introduce broad content guidelines for the sector, people aware of the developments said.
Mumbai: Video streaming platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video will adhere to a set of guidelines prepared by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) even though the information and broadcasting ministry had earlier rejected a self-regulation code proposed by over-the-top platforms.IAMAI has finalised an ‘implementation toolkit’ even as the government has initiated consultations at the highest levels involving officials
